Dr. Wieland has been with Western Infectious Disease Consultants since July 2011.  He is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, in Memphis, Tennessee.  He then completed internship, residency, and fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis..  He is interested in all aspects of infectious disease but particularly enjoys solving mysterious cases.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and 2 children, Conner and Nathan.  He also enjoys cooking as well as the classic Colorado activities of snow skiing and hiking.
